Can i sue ex employer even though i didnt give a two week notice? (Remake)?

I worked at an arcade for 1 year and 9 months. The manager sits me down and asked me if i was interested in a promotion. I would be in charge of the entire gameroom (even though we had a game manager). He was going to be more of a 'support' than hands on work. They told me that ';they didnt know what my title was going to be';. He said after one month i would get the money. I waited for 2 months and the money never came. I confronted him and he said ';go find out how much they make at Chuck e cheese because we dont know what to pay you'; i got mad so i started to call off. I called off about 10 times before i got written up. They said after one year of not calling off they would remove the write up. I without giving a two week notice after getting the write up. Also i went to them and asked them for my job back 2 weeks after and they couldnt because they had already hired 2 people to replace me. They said they would give me a good reference despite what happened. I also went the day before i had an interview and asked them for the good reference they promised and they agreed.

I am almost posetive that they have been giving me bad references. I have been to at least 4 or 5 interviews and the person i am interviewing with always says that they are very impressed with me until it gets to the reference part. I want to go back to the companies and get a written explination on why i was not hired. Or maybe i can explain the situation and they will tell me what the ex employer is saying to have it as proof. Also another employee sued the guy im trying to sue and won. I also heard that he has lied under oath, maybe that can turn things on my side.

Another manager there asked me to hang out with him outside of work. I had no idea at the time but i think he was gay, I havent had any relationships and i think he was trying to take advantage of that. He offered me alcohol and wanted me to go to vegas with him. Maybe i can sue him for that if the first one doesnt work?

So can i still sue my ex employer and have a chance to win despite what i did and the proof they have on it.Can i sue ex employer even though i didnt give a two week notice? (Remake)?
move on

all you are looking for is excuses to sue someone, anyone ..............

most likely the employer has done nothing illegal and after reading this post/question it is obvious they were correct in finally letting you go.Can i sue ex employer even though i didnt give a two week notice? (Remake)?
Sue them for WHAT?

First guy - even if he promised you a raise, he can legally change his mind. And actually it sounds like he was still looking at it when you walked out on him. As to what he says in a reference, even if it's negative, it's legal if it's true.

Second guy - you THINK he's gay, and he asked you to go to Vegas with him? And the damages you want to sue for are......?????

As tennis great John McEnroe once said, ';you cannot be serious';
I'm not a lawyer by any means, but if you can get good evidence of what you have said it may hold up in court. Without evidence it's all hear say and opinion and you'll waste your time and money.

If you think they are giving you a bad reference then I would not put them down as a reference contact.

If you have papers that stated the promotion offer and money increase that never came that would add to your case.

Since the companies did not hire you it problably wouldn't hurt to ask them if it was because of the reference from that company.

Another option is since that company offered you a good reference you could ask them to type you up a reference on paper that you could copy and attach to your resume.
I have a feeling that the company probably isn't saying anything negative about you, but probably has you listed as ';ineligible for re-hire.'; Likely because you quit without notice. Other than that, you sound kind of paranoid, and you might want to get some help about that.
